Availability Window
Our shift availability policy:

Weekdays (Monday–Friday):
- Sun: 07:00 – 17:00
- Mon: 07:00 – 17:00
- Tue: 07:00 – 17:00
- Wed: 07:00 – 17:00
- Thu: 07:00 – 17:00
- Fri: 07:00 – 17:00

Weekends:
- Sat: 08:00 – 12:00
We will schedule your shifts within these times, with 3 weeks’ notice. Flexible match with these windows is welcome—closely aligned availability will also qualify.
Pay & Hours
Registers our colleague pay scales:
- £13.28 per hour (standard rate)
- £14.55 per hour (stores within the M25)
- Additional payments may apply based on location
As standard, we offer 16 guaranteed hours per week, though flexibility for 12–16 hours is available if needed.

As a Store Colleague, your responsibilities include:
- Serving customers with passion—prioritising natural, friendly interaction.
- Knowledge-sharing—being passionate about the products, services, and routines that define your store.
- Full-store engagement—assisting in service areas, picking, replenishment, and seasonal events.
- High-quality decision-making—ensuring smooth, safe operations to deliver six-star service and support hourly business goals.
- Community & charity involvement—participating in store events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
- Performance accountability—understanding store KPIs, reducing waste, and acting on feedback to drive sales and productivity.
- Careful product handling—ensuring quality and satisfaction for every customer.
- Championing our values—embodying Tesco’s behaviours, policies, and recognising everyone’s uniqueness.
