Pay Range

  • £13.28–£14.55 per hour (varies by location and additional bonuses depending on role/local requirements).
  • Guaranteed 16 hours/week minimum (flexibility down to 12 hours available).
  • Fair Work, with 3 weeks' notice for scheduled shifts.
  • Pay off via Colleague Clubcard members save heavily.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be a key team member helping Tesco serve colleagues with passion and expertise. Our stores rely on action, adaptability, and strong values to drive success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving Customers with Pride: Greeting shoppers warmly, anticipating needs, and personalising support.
  • Product Knowledge: Being passionate about your store’s products, promotions, and services—to ensure accuracy and speed of service.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Working in service, stocking, and retail facing roles as required—helping keep the store running smoothly.
  • Safety & Service: Upholding training standards, adhering to protocols, and making customer-focused decisions consistently.
  • Seasonal & Community Involvement: Engaging in events, fundraisers, or local initiatives to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Performance & Efficiency: Tracking store metrics, supporting waste reduction, and ensuring profitability through high-quality operations.
  • Caring for Products: Handling goods with care, maintaining freshness, and minimising loss.
  • Custom-Deeds Culture: Always embodying our ‘Five Personal Values’—Committed, Engaging, Serving, Achieving, Together—while welcoming all customers and staff.
