Store Associate
About the Role
Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour. This increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you'd like flexibility for fewer hours (down to 12), we still welcome your application.
Availability Window
We schedule your shifts within the following available periods:

- 06:00:00 (6 AM) to 15:00:00 (3 PM)

- 06:00:00 (6 AM) to 15:00:00 (3 PM)
We will provide 3 weeks' notice of your scheduled shifts. We value flexibility, so if your availability is close to these times—even if not exact—please apply.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Knowing and serving customers with a "natural Texas" approach—giving great service that showcases pride in the retail experience
- Passionate and knowledgeable about store products, upselling where appropriate
- Working across store areas, including service counters, picking, and replenishment as needs require
- Applying provided training to ensure safe, effective operations for outstanding customer service
- Setting the right decisions to deliver customer-focused routines on time
- Contributing to seasonal/community/charity events, fostering a positive store atmosphere
- Understanding store performance and your contribution to service, sales, waste reduction, and profit
- Handling products with care to maintain quality and presentation
- Embedding Teso values while being welcoming—alway adhering to store policies
- At times, assisting with store deliveries when required
