Tesco Colleague - Lichfield Extra

About the Role

Our Tesco Colleague role starts with a competitive rate of pay:

  • £13.28/hour (standard rate)
  • £14.55/hour for stores within the M25 Additional payments may apply depending on location.

We offer 16 guaranteed hours per week for new colleagues, though opportunities exist for 12-hours minimum if preferred. The availability window is as follows:

Days | Sunday | 06:00:00 – 12:00:00 | | Tuesday | 06:00:00 – 12:00:00 | | Friday | 06:00:00 – 12:00:00 | | Saturday | 06:00:00 – 12:00:00 |

Shifts will be scheduled within these times, with 3 weeks' notice. Flexibility is supported if availability closely aligns.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks

  • Tailor your service: Understand customer needs to deliver exceptional experiences, anticipating their requirements.
  • Master our products: Be knowledgeable about store offerings, from everyday essentials to in-demand items.
  • Behind-the-scenes excellence: Work across service areas, picking, and replenishment during high-demand periods.
  • Safety & compliance: Apply trained practices for safe, efficient service protocols.
  • Customer-centric decisions: Align actions with customer needs to drive satisfaction and sales.
  • Seasonal & community engagement: Participate in events, hospitals, and community programs.
  • Monitor store performance: Track metrics, proactively contribute to goals (service, sales, waste reduction, profit).
  • Product care: Handle goods responsibly to ensure quality reaches customers.
  • Uphold company values: Represent Tesco with authenticity, hospitality, and adherence to policies.
  • Medical logistics: Accept deliveries if required by the store.
