Additional Notes

  • Thanks again for your interest in working at Tesco.
  • Colleagues working on the Warehouse Teams (Facilities) and Beers, Wine and Spirits Teams must be over 18.
  • Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows, and you’ll receive 3 weeks' notice of your shift patterns.
  • If your times are very close, we’d still love to consider you.

Our pay starts from £13.28 per hour, rising to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments depend on location.

We guarantee at least 16 hours each week, but if you wish to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we can accommodate this too.


Key Responsibilities

To excel in this role, you’ll need to:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by understanding and serving your customers with passion.
  • Be knowledgeable about the products and services in your store.
  • Work effectively across the store in different areas (service, picking, and replenishment).
  • Follow safety policies strictly to ensure a smooth and safe working environment.
  • Make decisions on-the-spot that benefit both our customers and our store performance.
  • Represent Tesco as part of seasonal, community, or charity events.
  • Understand your store’s performance targets and contribute to meeting them efficiently.
  • Handle products with care to maintain product quality and condition.
  • Uphold Tesco’s core values, promoting an inclusive, welcoming environment.
  • Occasionally (if necessary) accept deliveries into the store.
