Payment: Colleague rate varies—minimum £13.28/hour, rising to £14.55/hour within M25 stores. Additional payments for location-specific roles may apply. Guaranteed hours: 16–12+ flexible weekly hours, tailored to availability.
What You’ll Do
- Customer-First: Serve customers with pride and passion, building relationships and ensuring great experiences.
- Adaptability: Cover multiple areas—checkouts, aisles, restocking, and events.
- Replenishment & Quality: Handle products with care to reduce waste and uphold Tesco standards.
- Autonomy in Decisions: Make customer-focused choices daily, such as adjustments to operations due to demand.
- Seasonal & Community Involvement: Participate in marketing activities, charity events, and staff initiatives.
- Solidarity & Growth: Collaborate to drive store performance—sales, service, and sustainability targets.
- Delivery Assist: Support deliveries on occasion—communication determines availability.
Requirements
- Availability: Flexibility to meet 6 AM–12 PM weekday/workday attendance (negotiable—discuss adjustments).
- Team Skills: Work well within a team—open communication, team-building, and celebration of wins.
- Empathy & Enthusiasm: Greet customers warmly, maintain polished appearance, and become a brand ambassador.
- Minimal Age: 18+ (exception for specific roles e.g. bakery/warehouse).
- Attitude & Dynamism: Proactive, customer-centric, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
