Store Associate (Available to Cover Unpredetermined Hours in Store)
About the Role

You’ll need:
- Availability within the following working hours (schedule will be confirmed 3 weeks in advance) to allow us to cover daily shifts flexibly:

- Location-specific pay: Our Tesco Colleague wage starts at £13.28/hour (or £14.55 if the store is inside the M25). Additional payments may apply based on location.
- Minimum guaranteed 16 hours/week (or 12+ hours if you’d prefer; let us know!)
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be expected to:
- Deliver outstanding service – Greet customers with energy, passion, and pride, exceeding expectations at every turn.
- Know the store – Be passionate about the products and services we offer, ensuring high standards and efficiency.
- Pitch in across the store – Help in customer service, picking and replenishment, and assist wherever needed.
- Apply training safely & effectively – Maintain performance while upholding store policies to the best of your ability.
- Act decisively – Make customer-focused decisions that align with our values to drive sales, reduce waste, and enhance service.
- Engage with our community – Take part in seasonal/charity events to build an inclusive, eventful atmosphere.
- Track performance & adapt – Understand your store’s strengths and collaborate with the team to improve service, sales, and reduce inefficiencies.
- Handle goods responsibly – Ensure products remain in the best condition to meet customer expectations.
- Represent Tesco well – Live our values every day, making everyone feel welcome while upholding policies.
