About the Role
Availability Window
Tesco is seeking colleagues available to work over the following periods:
- Sunday: 22:00 – 07:00
- Friday: 22:00 – 07:00
- Saturday: 22:00 – 07:00
Pay & Hours:
- Starting rate: £13.28 per hour (up to £14.55 for stores within the M25).
- Night premium: An additional £2.35 per hour for shifts worked between midnight and 6am.
- All new colleagues receive a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. Part-time options (minimum 12 hours) are also available.
We schedule shifts within your availability windows. You’ll receive 3 weeks’ notice before your shifts begin. If your preferred availability closely matches but isn’t exact, we’d still welcome your application.
The Role
You’ll play a vital part in delivering outstanding customer service and supporting our stores. This role is for doers, offering variety, challenge, and a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service by making every customer feel valued with a natural and cheerful approach.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about products and services in your store.
- Assist across the store, including customer service, picking, and replenishment tasks.
- Ensure teamwork and safety are always prioritised—putting training into practice daily.
- Anticipate customer needs and meet routines in a way that enhances their shopping experience.
- Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive and fun atmosphere.
- Understand your store’s performance and how your contributions help drive service, sales, and profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and freshness.
- Live our values, represent the brand proudly, and promote a culture where everyone feels welcome.
- You may also be asked to assist with deliveries into the store occasionally.
