Tesco Colleague Nights - Swansea Cadle Extra

Store Colleague

About the Role

This role requires you to be available for shifts during the following availability windows:

Tuesday – Saturday (exclusively)

  • Wed: 10:00 PM – 07:00 AM (next day)
  • Thu: 10:00 PM – 07:00 AM
  • Fri: 10:00 PM – 07:00 AM
  • Sat: 10:00 PM – 07:00 AM

Pay and Hours

  • Base pay: £13.28/hour (£14.55/hour if store is within the M25).
  • Night premium: £2.35 extra per hour for any shifts between midnight and 6am.
  • Weekly hours: Minimum 16 hours guaranteed (flexibility noted for as little as 12 hours per week if preferred).
  • Shift notice: 3 weeks ahead of time for scheduling.

Core Responsibilities

Responsibilities include—but aren’t limited to—functioning as a multi-faceted team member dedicated to customer service and store success:

  • Service leadership: Greet customers passionately, offering natural and high-quality service with knowledge of products/services.
  • Customer-facing tasks: Assist in picking, in-store service, and replenishment across multiple departments.
  • Quality over quantity: Handle products with care to meet customer expectations and ensure safety, waste-reduction efforts, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Accountability and teamwork: Implement training to maintain safety, efficiency, and sales-driven operations.
  • Holiday/community engagement: Participate in seasonal, charity, and local community events to enhance customer experience.
  • Team collaboration: Function as part of a diverse and welcoming team, fostering relationships and maintaining brand ambassadorship.
  • Deliveries: Accept deliveries, storage, and other logistical requirements as necessary.
