Tesco Colleague - Norwich Harford Bridge Superstore

About Tesco Store Colleague Role

Key Details

  • Pay Rate:

    • Starting at £13.28/hour (£14.55/hour within the M25 area)
    • Additional pay may apply based on location
  • Minimum Guaranteed Weekly Hours:

    • 16 hours (flexible to 12 hours if preferred)
  • Availability Window (must be flexible where possible):

    • Sunday: 09:00 – 18:00
    • Saturday: 11:00 – 20:00
    • Friday: 15:00 – 21:00

    Scheduling: Shifts allocated 3 weeks advance notice per requested slot. Strongly welcome for alternative times if availability is close-matching.


The Role

You’ll work across the store, including:

  • Service & customer care (engaging with shoppers, problem-solving on the spot)
  • Product knowledge (expertise on store offerings)
  • Picking and replenishing stock
  • On-the-job training implementation (ensuring safety, efficiency, and great service standards)
  • Decision-making (tailoring store processes to meet customer needs)
  • Participation in events (seasonal campaigns, charity drives, and community initiatives)
  • Understanding store performance (analysing indicators to improve service, reduce waste, and boost sales)

Additional Responsibilities Occasionally Require:

  • Managing deliveries into the store
  • Adhering to Tesco values, policies, and a culture of everyone being welcome
  • Handling products carefully to maintain quality and parity
