About the Role

Tesco Colleague rotates on the base rate of £13.28 per hour, benchmarked within London areas (up to M25) at £14.55 depending on location. Additional pay may apply at some stores.

  • Contracted hours: Guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week (though roles from 12 hours may be available).
  • Shift notice: At least 3 weeks’ notice for scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing friendly, efficient service and fostering customer connection.
  • Actively engaging with our products/services, offering support, and answering customer queries.
  • Flexible support across store operations, including:
    • Shelve-replenishment.
    • Checkout and online order processing.
    • Occasional delivery assistance.
    • General service and replenishment duties.
  • Making customer-focused decisions and completing key store routines.
  • Contributing to super store performance, including customer experience, sales enhancement, and waste reduction.

Requirements

  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service, always greeting customers with warmth and making them feel valued.
  • Ability to build rapport, ensuring customers leave with a great experience.
  • Initiative and independence to make sound decisions for customers—no matter what challenges arise.
  • Strong team player skills, with a collaborative, open-communication approach.
