Our availability windows for this role are as follows:

Friday

Pay & Working Hours

Our Tesco colleague rate starts from £13.28 an hour (increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25). Additional payments may apply depending on location.

We commit to offering a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. Opportunities for 12+ hours (for those preferring less contracted time) are also available.

Shifts will be scheduled within your availability windows, with 3 weeks’ notice of timings. Flexibility is supported, so if your times are close to ours, you are still encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do:

  • Know your customers and deliver passionate, pride-filled service with a natural smile.
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about Tesco’s products and services.
  • Work across the store—service, picking, and replenishing areas—to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Apply training-based skills to guarantee safe and effective operations.
  • Initiate decisions that prioritise customers and schedule routines that align with their needs.
  • Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events, fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand store performance metrics and contribute to goals like service improvement, sales growth, reduced waste, and profitability.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure excellent customer condition.
  • Live Tesco’s values—be welcoming, professional, and policy-adherent at all times.

Should deliveries need your support, assisting with store intakes may be required.

Fit for Role:

  • Must be able to work during advertised availability windows:
    • Monday: 17:00–23:00
    • Thursday: 17:00–23:00
    • Friday: 17:00–23:00
    • Saturday: 17:00–23:00
  • Powellite for time commitment, including those anticipated temporary periods.

⚠️ Minimum age requirement: 18+ for core operations.
