Floor Team Role – Tesco
As a Tesco floor team member, you play a crucial role in transforming our stores into friendly places people want to shop in. From serving customers to supporting stock replenishment, it’s a packed day where relationships matter as much as the routine.
About the Role
All shoppers deserve a great experience. The role offers variety and regular interaction with customers and colleagues, making every day different.
Hours and Availability
To meet our trading requirements, contracted hours must be covered within these availability windows:
- Sunday: 14:00 – 22:00
- Thursday: 12:00 – 18:00
- Friday: 14:00 – 20:00
- Saturday: 14:00 – 22:00
We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, but may also offer flexible arrangements for as little as 12 hours. Your shifts will be scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance. If your availability closely matches but does not fully align with these times, please still apply.
Pay: Our starting pay is £13.28 per hour, with additional payments depending on location and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve with pride and passion: Know your customers, anticipate their needs, and deliver great service every time.
- Maintain expertise: Be a product and service expert across our store’s full range.
- Work effectively: Rotate across daily operations, including picking, replenishment, and service areas.
- Uphold safety and quality: Apply training to ensure service excellence and standards.
- Make customer-driven decisions: Address issues, communicate desired routines, and contribute to sales, waste reduction, and profit.
- Engage with events: Participate in seasonal, community, and charity activities.
- Deliver store performance: Track and support team efforts to drive sales, customer experience, reduce waste, and achieve profit.
- Handle products with care: Ensure stock remains in perfect condition for customers.
- Represent the brand: Personify our values, welcome everyone, and follow policies.
- Assist with deliveries: Occasionally support loading/unloading goods when needed.
