As a Tesco floor team member, you play a crucial role in transforming our stores into friendly places people want to shop in. From serving customers to supporting stock replenishment, it’s a packed day where relationships matter as much as the routine.

About the Role

All shoppers deserve a great experience. The role offers variety and regular interaction with customers and colleagues, making every day different.

  • Saturday: 14:00 – 22:00

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, but may also offer flexible arrangements for as little as 12 hours. Your shifts will be scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance. If your availability closely matches but does not fully align with these times, please still apply.

Pay: Our starting pay is £13.28 per hour, with additional payments depending on location and skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve with pride and passion: Know your customers, anticipate their needs, and deliver great service every time.

  • Work effectively: Rotate across daily operations, including picking, replenishment, and service areas.
  • Uphold safety and quality: Apply training to ensure service excellence and standards.
  • Make customer-driven decisions: Address issues, communicate desired routines, and contribute to sales, waste reduction, and profit.
  • Engage with events: Participate in seasonal, community, and charity activities.
  • Deliver store performance: Track and support team efforts to drive sales, customer experience, reduce waste, and achieve profit.
  • Handle products with care: Ensure stock remains in perfect condition for customers.
  • Represent the brand: Personify our values, welcome everyone, and follow policies.
  • Assist with deliveries: Occasionally support loading/unloading goods when needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
