Store Team Member (Frontline Retail) – Tesco
About the Role
Our Store Team Member role is all about being passionate about our customers and delivering exhilarating service every day. Full of variety and challenges, this committed role helps power our stores and keeps Tesco at the heart of our shopper’s shopping experience.
Availability Window
We need your availability for these shifts each week:
- Monday – 15:00 to 22:00
- Tuesday – 15:00 to 22:00
- Wednesday – 15:00 to 22:00
Shifts will be scheduled 3 weeks in advance. If your availability aligns closely, we’d love to hear from you—flexibility is key!
Hint: Minimum 12 hours per week (guaranteed 16 if joining new). Additional payments may apply based on location.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Serving customers with pride – Knowing your customers and delivering natural, energetic service.
- Product expertise – Being passionate and knowledgeable about store products and services.
- Frontline visibility – Working across service areas, picking, replenishment and customer-facing tasks.
- Safety & compliance – Upholding training policies to ensure safe operations and high standards.
- Decision-making – Quick, customer-driven choices to meet shoppers’ needs.
- Engagement – Participating in seasonal events, community drives, and charity activities.
- Performance & efficiency – Understanding store metrics, reducing waste/loss, and driving profitability.
- Quality handling – Carefully managing products to maintain perfect condition.
- Living our values – Always welcoming, inclusive and aligned with Tesco policies.
- Delivery support – Occasionally accepting deliveries into the store.

Requirements
Eligibility & attributes we seek:
- 18+ years old (school leaver age minimums apply globally—check here).

- Debridged in areas like timetables or tasks – If hours schedule before/sometimes after 18:45, applicants must be 18+.
