Store Colleague – PAT Position (Frontline Seasonal Role)

About the Role

This is a critical role in our PAT (In-Store) team, focused on:

  • Ensuring exceptional customer service
  • Managing store operations
  • Driving sales, service, and sustainability

Availability Window

To work in this position, you must commit to the following availability windows across the week:

Tesco will schedule your shifts within these windows, with at least 3 weeks’ notice. If your availability is similar but not exact, we’d still like to hear from you.


Pay & Hours

  • Colleague pay starts at £13.28/hour (increasing to £14.55/hour in stores within the M25).
  • Additional payments (e.g., seasonal allowances) may apply based on location.
  • Guaranteed minimum of 16 hours/week for new starters (flexible to 12 hours/min if required).
  • Work-life balance: Shifts are planned in advance, and flexibility is supported.

Responsibilities

You will deliver passionate, person-centred service while working across key areas of the store:

  • Serving customers with pride

    • Know your customers, anticipate their needs, and fulfill them with genuine smiles and great service.
    • Ensure transactions and customer interactions reflect excellence and friendliness.
    • Act as a brand ambassador, representing Tesco’s mission every day.
  • Keeping the store running smoothly

    • Assist in service, picking, and replenishment tasks.
    • Work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
    • Ensure safety and adherence to procedures (divers, MERs, and operational best practice).
