Availability Window
It’s your choice how many hours you’d like to work: We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week for new colleagues, but opportunities exist for fewer hours (from 12) if preferred.
We request that you commit to the following availability windows where possible. Expect three weeks' notice for your scheduled shifts.

Pay & Guarantees
- Starting pay: £13.28 per hour (rising to £14.55 for stores within the M25)
- All new colleagues receive a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week with the flexibility to do as few as 12 hours if preferred.
What the Role Involves
You’ll be central to delivering exceptional care and service in our store while working as part of a diverse and supportive team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serving customers passionately:
- Greeting customers warmly, anticipating their needs, and delivering natural, flexible service.
- Using your product knowledge to answer questions confidently and recommend suitable items.
- Operating across the store:
- Replenishment, checkouts, and frontline store operations, wherever and whenever needed.
- Practicing safe, efficient routines for dynamic store tasks.
- Taking storedelivery responsibility:
- Supporting goods handling and delivery, ensuring quality is maintained.

Because Tesco’s policy covers individuals above the legal school leisureing age, we require candidates to be over 18 for roles requiring shifts before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or any delivery, warehouse, liquor, bakery, and driving roles.
