The schedule for your contracted hours will be confirmed within these periods with 3 weeks’ notice. We’re committed to flexibility—if your availability closely matches (but isn’t an exact fit), your application will still be considered.


Pay & Working Hours
  • Hourly rate: £13.28 for stores outside M25; £14.55 for stores within M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
  • Guaranteed minimum hours: 16 hours per week. Part-time roles start from 12 hours per week.

Your Responsibilities

Your role is pivotal in creating a great customer experience every day:

  • Customer service: Deliver passionate, natural service by understanding your customers and giving them what they need.
  • Product knowledge: Be enthusiastic about the products and services in your store, from fresh food to customer deals.
  • Store operations: Assist across service points, picking, replenishment—bringing your passion to small and large tasks.
  • Teamwork & training: Apply health & safety and service standards effectively in all areas.
  • Decision-making: Solve challenges on the spot to meet customer needs and global routines.
  • Community engagement: Participate in seasonal events, charity work to keep the store lively and inclusive.
  • Store performance: Understand your role’s impact on sales, waste reduction, quality control and contribute to store goals.
  • Delivery support: Accept store deliveries when required.
  • Team culture: Live Tesco values daily—be welcoming, authentic, and aligned with our policies.
