About the Role

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts at £13.28 per hour, rising to £14.55/hour for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply based on location.
Policy:
- Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week for new colleagues.
- Opportunities available for 12-hour weeks (if required).
Your schedule will be set within these slipping times, with 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. Flexible adjustments may be possible if availability aligns closely.

Responsibilities
- Serve shoppers: Provide natural, proactive service, ensuring every customer leaves happy.
- Product expertise: Be deeply familiar with products and services in your store.
- Store-wide contributions: Work across sales floor, picking, and replenishment; tackle seasonal, community, or charity events.
- Sales & efficiency: Understand individual goals tied to service standards, waste reduction, and profitability.
- Safety & decision-making: Apply training consistently to maintain safety standards and make decisions aligned with customer needs.

Your work can also include:
- Handling store deliveries.
- Representing the store with Tesco’s values and brand.
Requirements
- Age: Must be over 18 to apply (required for shift timings and specific roles before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm).
- Attitude: A passion for service, confidence in customer interactions, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Stamina: Physically capable of rotating tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiasm: First impressions count – ensure you’re punctual, clean, and dependable.
