Tesco Store Colleague Job Description

About the Role

Our Tesco Colleague role starts at £13.28/hour (or £14.55/hour for stores within the M25). A minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week is offered, but flexible opportunities for 12-hour weeks are also available.

We’re looking for someone who can meet the following availability times:

  • Wed: 16:00 – 22:00
  • Thu: 16:00 – 22:00
  • Fri: 15:30 – 22:00
  • Sat: 16:00 – 22:00

You’ll receive 3 weeks’ notice of scheduled shifts. If your available hours closely match (but not exactly match) these times, we’d still love to hear from you!

As a Tesco Colleague, you’ll:

  • Help serve customers with enthusiasm and excellence
  • Provide natural, proactive service and product knowledge
  • Work across the store in picking, replenishment, and customer service roles
  • Apply training to ensure safety, efficiency, and outstanding customer experience
  • Use costumer insight to make decisions that improve service, sales, and satisfaction
  • Participate in seasonal events, charity initiatives, and foster an inclusive environment
  • Contribute to store performance, reduce waste, and deliver results
  • Handle products with care, ensuring high quality and timeliness
  • Live Tesco’s values and embody its welcoming culture
  • Accept deliveries when required

Responsibilities

You will need to:
