Tesco offers a competitive hourly wage:
- Start from £13.28/hour across the UK
- £14.55/hour for stores within the M25.
- Additional payments depending on your location.
Your contractual hours will be scheduled within these availability windows, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week for new colleagues. However, if you're looking for fewer hours (minimum 12), we still welcome your application.

As a Customer Service Associate, you will:
- Serve customers with passion, delivering a natural and genuine service.
- Be highly knowledgeable about products, services, and getting them right for Tesco customers.
- Support across the store, including picking, replenishment, and customer service areas.
- Apply your training to ensure safe, effective, and customer-focused routines.
- Embrace seasonal, charitable, and community initiatives to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Demonstrate store performance knowledge, teamwork, and alignment with service and sales goals.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality.
- Stay true to our values and policies while showcasing our brand professionally.
- Be prepared to assist with deliveries when required.
Responsibilities
- Customer service — Knowing your customers well and ensuring they are served with pride and passion.
- Product knowledge — Being able and willing to speak confidently about products and services in your store.
- Store support — Working flexibly between different areas including customer service, picking, or replenishment.
- Safety, efficiency and service — Applying your training to work safely and provide an outstanding customer experience daily.
- Decision-making — Making, on-site decisions that prioritise customer satisfaction, even when routine disruptions occur.
- Participation in seasonal, community and charities events to keep the shopping experience great for everyone.
- Support store goals — Understanding how your contributions towards service, sales, waste reduction and profit directly support store performance.
- Product care — Handling products with accuracy, maintaining quality, and ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Embodiment of values — Behaving in accordance with Tesco values while embodying the Tesco welcome culture.
- Delivery duties — Occasionally assisting with receiving and moving store deliveries.
- Flexibility — Embrace flexibility with working availability and teamwork.
