Tesco Colleague - West Durrington Extra

Store Colleague – Shopfloor (Temporary/Mobile) – ##

Availability Window

Store colleagues are required to be flexible with their working hours, covering the following availability slots:

  • Sunday From 11:30 AM to 5:15 PM (UTC)

  • Tuesday From 9:00 PM to 11:15 PM **

  • Thursday From 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM

  • Friday From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM

  • Saturday From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM

**The times above are UK-specific. Local policies for availability windows may apply.

Note: Shifts are scheduled within these windows, with at least three weeks’ notice for your contracted hours.


About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Customer Service Excellence:

    • Serve customers with passion, empathy, and efficiency.
    • Foster strong relationships to exceed expectations at every interaction.
  • Product Knowledge & Operations:

    • Be passionate about the products your store carries.
    • Work across service, picking, and replenishment areas, including front-of-store and backroom tasks.
    • Handle deliveries at times as required.
  • Leadership & Decision-Making:

    • Apply store-BM training to ensure safety, consistency, and quality - for customers and colleagues.
    • Make locally-informed decisions to enhance customer service.
  • Ambassador Role & Culture:

    • Represent Tesco’s values, policies, and brand with integrity and visibility.
    • Support and encourage the team to become a united, inclusive culture.
  • Store Performance Focus:

    • Contribute to driving revenue, service excellence, and store profitability while reducing waste.

Requirements

Location Pay & Flexible Working

  • Base pay starts at £13.28/hour (rising to £14.55/hour for locations within the M25).
  • Additional payments (if applicable) depend on location-specific benefits.
  • Min. 16 contracted hours/week (down to a minimum of 12h). Spotlight opportunities are also available.
