Tesco Colleague - Wishaw Belhaven Extra

Store Team Member (Flexible Hours) – Tesco

About the Role

This role is for passionate individuals who love working with customers and are excited by the fast-paced, dynamic environment of a Tesco store. You’ll serve customers with pride, contribute to a welcoming team atmosphere, and help make every shopping experience a great one.

Availability Window The store requires availability within the following weekly timeframes:

  • Monday to Wednesday From 16:00 to 24:00

Additional Notes on Availabilities & Hours

  • The store pays from £13.28/hour (standard rate) and up to £14.55/hour (for stores within the M25).
  • Additional payments may apply based on store location.
  • Our policy guarantees a minimum of 16 hours per week, though opportunities for 12+ hours are available upon request.
  • Shifts will be scheduled within the advertised availability window, with 3 weeks’ notice per shift.
  • Flexibility is encouraged, and comparable availability that closely matches can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the store team, you will:

  • Deliver customer service with passion, ensuring every interaction is friendly and efficient.
  • Apply your product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Assist across multiple store functions, including product replenishment and box office duties as needed.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines while upholding Tesco’s values and standards.
  • Make customer-focused decisions—whether adjusting stock, assisting with priority needs, or ambassadorship.
  • Participate in seasonal events (e.g., Community Day or charity schemes) to build local engagement.
  • Maintain store goals—reducing waste, improving sales, and upholding quality standards.
  • Handle goods with care, ensuring they meet customer expectations.
  • Embrace Tesco’s value of being yourself while treating customers and colleagues with respect.
