About the Role
Our colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. However, if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too.
To meet your availability requirements, here are our current windows:

We will schedule your shifts within these times, with 3 weeks' notice. Our approach is rooted in supporting flexibility, so if your availability matches the advertised windows closely, we still welcome you to apply.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride, providing exceptional, natural service.
- Being passionate and knowledgeable about all products and services within your store.
- Supporting activities across the store, including service, picking, and replenishment as required.
- Applying learned training to ensure we work safely, effectively, and serve customers excellently.
- Making customer-first decisions and adhering to store routines that meet customer needs at the right times.
- Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events; creating an inclusive and joyful atmosphere.
- Ensuring understanding of your store's performance and collectively executing tasks that enhance service and sales while reducing waste, shrink, and driving profit.
- Handling products with care to guarantee their quality and superb condition upon delivery to customers.
- Becoming your best self, embracing Tesco values, ensuring all feel welcome, and adhering to company policies strictly.
- Accepting product deliveries into the store when needed.
