Key Starting Details

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 contracted hours per week, with flexibility to work as few as 12 hours if preferred. The availability windows above will inform shift scheduling, with 3 weeks' notice of your shift times. We welcome close but slightly different availability requests.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Knowing and exceeding customer expectations by providing passionate, natural service.
  • Familiarising yourself with store products and services to serve customers confidently.
  • Assisting across the store, including service, picking, and replenishment areas, as required.
  • Applying training to safety, efficiency, and exemplary customer service.
  • Making customer-right decisions and maintaining routines to meet shopper needs.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster inclusion.
  • Tracking store performance, understanding your role in driving sales, service, reducing waste, and overall profit.
  • Handling products carefully, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Living our values—being welcoming, authentic, and policy-driven.
  • Assisting with deliveries when required.
