We require colleagues to be available during the following time slots:

Tuesday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
-
Friday 08:15 AM – 03:45 PM
-
Saturday 01:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Our Colleague pay starts at £13.28/hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25, with additional payments depending on location. You can expect a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, though part-time roles are available (with a minimum of 12 hours).
We schedule shifts within these windows, ensuring 3 weeks’ notice for your rosters. While exact availability may need minor adjustments, we appreciate anyone who can fit broadly with these timeframes.
About the Role
Customers are the heart of Tesco, and this is a hands-on role for people who thrive on variety and engagement. You’ll serve customers every day, collaborate with colleagues, and adapt to real-life challenges—making it both rewarding and exciting.
As a Store Associate, you’ll:
- Serve customers with passion – Provide friendly, procedural service while championing our values.
- Be a product specialist – Maintain knowledge about store offerings (food, services, and promotions).
- Support store operations – Assist in tidying, picking, and replenishing stock where required.
- Follow safety & service training – Apply practices to deliver consistent customer experiences.
- Add value beyond the transaction – Participate in events, local community efforts, and charity work to foster an inclusive environment.
- Drive performance – Understand store targets and ensure routes of sale, waste reduction, and internal systems support goals.
- Handle products with care – Preserve quality and presentation for exceptional customer delivery.
- Live our values – Maintain professionalism, compliance with policies, and welcome humanity in everything you do.
- Support deliveries – Assist with receiving goods as needed.
