Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
- Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store
- Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries
- Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best
- Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence
- Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change
- Coaching colleagues, giving feedback, and role modelling great service
- Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day

Requirements
- Must be over 18 for this role
- Prefer experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment
- Act as a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service
- Must ensure every customer’s needs are met
- Build positive, long-lasting relationships to create an inclusive and supportive team environment
- Excellent communication skills—able to keep the team well informed through various methods
- Display natural leadership, motivating and inspiring the team to deliver outstanding results
