About the Role

Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though part-time roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your shifts will be scheduled within these time slots, ensuring at least 3 weeks’ notice. If your availability is close to our needs, we encourage you to apply anyway.

Responsibilities
- Leading the team to deliver high-quality customer experiences in-store.
- Collaborating across all store areas and supporting colleagues with operational queries.
- Building positive, inclusive relationships to ensure colleague performance peaks.
- Taking charge of the store in the Manager’s absence.
- Making flexible, balanced decisions and adapting effectively to change.
- Coaching and mentoring team members, giving constructive feedback and modelling exceptional service.
- Staying inspired by opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, community impact, and sustainability.

Requirements
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Experience in a team lead or management role in a fast-paced retail environment.
- A commitment to being an excellent role model, passionate about delivering top-tier customer service and ensuring every guest’s needs are prioritised.
- Ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships; fostering an inclusive, supportive team environment.
- Strong communication skills, using multiple methods to keep teams informed.
- Natural leadership qualities, empowering staff to deliver outstanding results.
