Tesco Shift Lead – Store Role

Tesco Shift Lead offers:

  • £15.59 per hour (rising to £16.86 within the M25 store area)
  • Additional payments in some locations
  • Minimum 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are possible

Shifts are scheduled with at least 3 weeks’ notice; applicants within close proximity of available shifts are still encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

You will lead the team to deliver an exceptional experience for customers through:

  • Co-ordinating across all store areas and collaborating with colleagues to address day-to-day operational queries.
  • Building positive, inclusive relationships to ensure colleagues thrive.
  • Confidently stepping into leadership when the Store Manager is unavailable.
  • Making balanced, adaptable decisions under pressure and adjusting to change effectively.
  • Coaching team members, providing constructive feedback, and demonstrating excellent service standards.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience as a team lead or in store management in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • A strong passion for customer service, delivering exceeding expectations for every customer.
  • Commitment to creating long-lasting, inclusive team environments.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of relaying information clearly through various methods.
  • A natural leadership instinct that encourages the team to achieve outstanding results daily.
