Shift Lead (Night) positions start with a base pay of £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 for roles within the M25. You’ll receive a night premium of £2.35 per hour for all shifts between midnight and 6am. Some locations may offer additional payments.
We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are available. Your contracted hours will fall within the provided availability windows, with shifts scheduled with at least 3 weeks’ notice. Responsibilities
As Shift Lead, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the team to deliver exceptional in-store customer experiences
- Supporting staff and operations across all store departments
- Guiding and mentoring colleagues while ensuring operational queries are addressed
- Acting as the go-to representative for management in their absence
- Taking balanced, adaptable decisions in fast-paced environments
- Fostering inclusive team culture through strong relationships and collaboration
- Inspiring your team with exceptional service standards
- Focusing on continuous improvement to benefit customers, communities, and sustainability
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Retail management or team lead experience within a fast-paced environment
- Built a reputation as a strong role model with a commitment to excellent customer service
- A proven ability to build lasting, inclusive relationships and create supportive team dynamics
- Strong communication skills, using a variety of tools and methods to keep the team informed
- An intrinsic leadership ability to motivate teams and deliver outstanding performance
