Location: Bristol (Hybrid)

Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Test Analyst. This role will work within a cross-functional software delivery team, to deliver new or enhanced capabilities which satisfy expectations and deliver value, including providing testing expertise and guidance within a collaborative agile team.

A role you will love
The Test Analyst will play a key role in enabling the team to confidently measure, deliver and improve quality in delivering products. Applying technical knowledge and expertise to influence/define the test approach in order to mitigate the risk of change.
- Taking an active part in delivering team commitments and embrace continuous improvement across the wider team.
- Ensuring the quality of tasks, services and information provided by your team – through the quality of your own work and the support you provide to others.
- Apply best practice and contribute to improvements and innovation in technologies/practices within your team e.g. efficiency in the development process or improved customer experience.
Other key responsibilities:
- Solicit feedback in order to clarify/understand requirements.
- Translate business requirements into clearly defined test scenarios in order to support development.
- Provide continual feedback on product quality to the team and stakeholders to enable them to make informed decisions.
- Check that software meets expected behaviors and explore for additional risks.
- Provide informal guidance and share knowledge with colleagues to enable them to contribute to the team’s objectives. Share knowledge with the wider community.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences to share knowledge and ideas; provide updates; influence; challenge; and take on feedback.

What will you bring to the role?
The Test Analyst will have experience of using test design techniques and of performing and applying risk analysis to identify test types and test coverage. As well as experience of exploratory testing – defining test charters to give direction and purpose, understanding what information to capture and providing feedback to team on completion.
It would be ideal if you also have experience of contributing to the automation test approach, understanding return on investment and automation coverage, designing tests and identifying scenarios.
You will be someone who collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
Other key skills required for the role:
- Experience of working in a development environment, ideally within an enterprise context.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, software architecture and technologies.
- A curious, observant and intuitive explorer who is capable of the setup, exercise and checking of test scenarios against the system-under-test.
- Basic scripting, database query, coding skills, understanding of test environments, quality gateways and the route to production.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred.
- Experience of financial services, share registry or employee share plan industries is desirable.
- Strong work ethic and is able to deal with sometimes conflicting priorities.
