Role Description

The Test Analyst is responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive testing activities to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves analyzing business and technical requirements, creating detailed test plans, developing test scenarios, and identifying potential risks throughout the software development lifecycle.

The Test Analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to understand system functionality, validate solutions, and ensure delivered products meet defined quality standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing
  • Documenting test results
  • Reporting defects
  • Supporting continuous improvement of testing processes

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, specifications, and system behaviors to create effective test scenarios and test cases.
  • Experience with functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and defect management processes.
  • Proficiency in documenting test plans, test cases, execution results, and quality reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify, investigate, and communicate defects clearly with relevant stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and collaboration within iterative development environments.
  • Ability to work with testing tools, issue tracking systems, and test management platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality software delivery standards.
