Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Test Analyst for a 9 month contract with possible extension on a rate of £400-£450 per day (Inside IR35).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities on the project
  • Work closely with SMEs and end users to create, review and verify test scenarios, test cases, scripts and test data.
  • Ensure full traceability between test activities and business requirements.
  • Ensure testing activities are delivered in line with the Programme Test Strategy and agreed testing standards.
  • Coordinate and support UAT execution, working closely with business users throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Monitor test progress and provide regular status updates, including daily reporting where required.
  • Manage testing administration activities and maintain accurate test documentation.
  • Support automated testing activities where appropriate.
  • Track, manage and report defects, ensuring timely resolution and escalation as required.
  • Coordinate testing activities across multiple workstreams and stakeholders to support successful programme delivery.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Test Analyst, including coordinating testing across complex change programmes.
  • Extensive experience of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and working closely with end users.
  • Strong experience in creating test scenarios, test cases and scripts from business requirements.
  • Experience of test execution, defect management and reporting.
  • Experience using defect-tracking tools.
  • Experience monitoring test progress and producing clear status reports.
  • Understanding of automated testing approaches and tools.
  • Experience facilitating test preparation workshops with SMEs and business stakeholders.
  • Experience tracking progress against test plans and providing concise management reporting.
  • Ability to assess testing risks, issues and dependencies and escalate appropriately.
