Test Analyst - Central government
Hybrid (1 day per week onsite in Manchester required - expenses covered)
Permanent or initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)

We are seeking a Test Analyst with deep core expertise in building automated test frameworks, to join a critical government programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work on highly impactful projects while enjoying a flexible, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain API automation frameworks
- Define and implement test strategies aligned with engineering standards
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing at API level
- Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and DevOps engineers
- Ensure solutions are: Robust/ Maintainable/ Scalable
- Embed quality engineering practices across teams
- Contribute to modernisation and remediation of legacy applications
- Identify risks early and drive improvements in quality processes
- Analyse defects, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence

Core Technical Skills
- Testing experience in either central government or consulting
- Extensive experience testing REST and SOAP APIs
- Experience with automation frameworks
- Good knowledge of Java
- An understanding of shift-left testing principals including integration of testing into CI/CD pipelines
