Test Analyst – Edinburgh/Glasgow - £450 Inside IR35 - 9 Months

One of Lorien's public sector clients is looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join a major business transformation programme on an initial 9-month contract, with a potential 3-month extension.

This role will focus heavily on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and requires somebody who can work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs and end users to ensure successful delivery of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
  • Creating and executing test scenarios, test cases and test scripts
  • Working closely with business users and SMEs throughout the testing lifecycle
  • Coordinating testing activities across multiple teams and workstreams
  • Managing and reporting defects through to resolution
  • Producing regular progress and status reports
  • Facilitating testing workshops and test preparation activities
  • Maintaining test documentation and traceability to business requirements
  • Supporting automated testing activities where appropriate
  • Identifying and managing testing risks, issues and dependencies

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Test Analyst
  • Extensive UAT experience
  • Strong experience creating test scenarios, test cases and test scripts
  • Experience coordinating testing activities across complex programmes
  • Strong defect management and reporting experience
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM or qTest
  • Experience working closely with business users and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments
  • Experience producing clear management reporting and testing updates
