The Role
We are seeking a Test Analyst to join our IT function and drive high-quality technology solutions across the business. Collaborating with Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Teams, you will ensure new and enhanced systems meet business requirements and customer expectations. Your responsibilities span the full software testing lifecycle, including:
- Test planning & execution
- Defect management
- Quality assurance
- Agile environment engagement
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy problem-solving, co-operation, and improving testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and execute functional, regression, and scenario-based test cases.
- Develop and maintain manual and automated test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Analyse business requirements, user stories, and documentation to devise robust testing approaches.
- Execute testing activities and document results with clear audit trails and evidence.
- Identify, document, and track defects (using tools like JIRA or TFS) while participating in triage and resolution.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), clarifying testing processes for business users.
- Produce testing progress reports and keep stakeholders updated.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, enhancing testing processes, automation, and quality standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis to prevent recurring defects and improve future deliveries.

Skills & Attributes
Technical & Experience Requirements:
- Prior experience in Software Testing, Test Analyst, or Quality Assurance.
- Strong grasp of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Agile experience, particularly within Scrum frameworks.
- Manual and automated testing script creation/execution.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, TFS).
- Squash SQL or database concepts support for testing/validation.
- Exposure to programming/scripting (e.g., VBA, Java) is advantageous.
Soft Skills & Traits:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management—clear collaboration with technical and business teams.
- Goals: ISTQB Foundation certification preferred.
