We at Coforge are looking for Automation Test Engineer – IAM & AI-Enabled Cloud Security Testing in Sheffield, UK.
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud-native application testing, and modern automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in validating IAM workflows, identity orchestration, API integrations, data ingestion and transformation processes, and event-driven architectures within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
In addition to traditional quality engineering practices, the candidate should possess experience in AI-powered testing, including validating AI/ML-driven applications, automation of testing using AI-assisted tools, prompt and model output validation, and testing integrations involving Generative AI services, LLMs, and intelligent decision-making systems.
Working within an automation-first environment, you will collaborate closely with Cloud Security, AI Engineering, DevOps, and Application Development teams to ensure the quality, scalability, security, and compliance of identity services, cloud applications, and AI-enabled platforms supporting enterprise operations.
Key Responsibilities
IAM & Cloud Testing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for APIs, event-driven services, identity orchestration workflows, and graph-based applications using Python and PyTest.
- Define and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with business requirements and technical specifications while maintaining end-to-end traceability.
- Validate IAM concepts, access control models, and authorization frameworks, including:
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
- Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC)
- Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC)
- Perform API automation, contract testing, integration testing, and replay/reprocessing validation for distributed systems.
- Validate identity lifecycle workflows including provisioning, de-provisioning, authentication, authorization, and access reviews.
- Test event-driven architectures utilizing Google Pub/Sub, ensuring event lineage, schema validation, message integrity, and processing accuracy.
- Validate graph databases and relationship-driven authorization models; experience with Neo4j is highly desirable.
- Produce audit and regulatory evidence to support governance, compliance, and security requirements.
- Create and maintain CI/CD testing pipelines using Jenkins, enabling automated execution, reporting, and quality gates.
- Track, triage, and drive defect resolution using tools such as JIRA and Zephyr.

AI & Intelligent Systems Testing
- Validate AI/ML and Generative AI solutions for functionality, accuracy, reliability, security, and performance.
- Design automated test scenarios for AI-powered applications, recommendation engines, chatbots, intelligent workflows, and LLM integrations.
- Perform prompt testing, response validation, hallucination detection, and guardrail testing for Generative AI applications.
- Validate AI model outputs against business rules, quality benchmarks, and risk controls.
- Test data pipelines supporting AI/ML workloads, ensuring data quality, completeness, lineage, and transformation accuracy.
- Collaborate with Data Science and AI Engineering teams to establish testing strategies for machine learning models and AI services.
- Monitor and validate AI model performance, drift detection mechanisms, explainability features, and bias testing processes.
- Support testing and integration of AI services hosted on cloud platforms including GCP Vertex AI and other enterprise AI ecosystems.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation.
- Strong programming experience in Python and automation frameworks such as PyTest.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools and frameworks (Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts, Identity Governance, Authentication, Authorization, and Access Management.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience testing event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Google Pub/Sub.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent tools.
- Experience with defect and test management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr.
- Knowledge of graph databases, preferably Neo4j.

AI Testing Skills
- Experience validating AI/ML or Generative AI applications in enterprise environments.
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI quality evaluation techniques.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI model lifecycle, training data validation, model performance evaluation, and drift monitoring.
- Exposure to Vertex AI, OpenAI, Azure AI, or similar AI platforms is preferred.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, bias testing, explainability, and AI governance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Cloud Security, IAM, Identity Governance, or Zero Trust Security environments.
- Exposure to SailPoint, Okta, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, Entra ID (Azure AD), or similar IAM platforms.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and Security Testing principles.
- Relevant certifications in GCP, Security, Automation Testing, AI/ML, or Cloud Technologies.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
