We seek a highly motivated Test Centre Administrator to join our team in Peterborough, UK, and play a vital role in ensuring a secure and supportive exam experience for candidates worldwide.
Your Opportunity
As a Test Centre Administrator, you will deliver a friendly, professional, and secure testing environment while maintaining Pearson VUE’s Level 1 certification standards. This role requires flexibility and meticulous attention to detail to uphold examination integrity.
Key Terms of Employment
- Part-time position (minimum 33 hours/month)
- Required to work Saturdays
- Shifts vary (early morning, late-night, weekends) – flexibility is essential
- Hourly pay: £13.60/hour, paid full Christmas bonus, statutory and city-paying bonuses, pension, and annual leave
- Payment cycle: Work is accrued monthly, paid 1 month in arrears
- Remove hazards in office areas and maintain general tidiness

Responsibilities
Your role includes:

Customer Service:
- Welcoming, greeting, and checking in candidates upon arrival.
- Providing clear instructions and explanations on exam procedures, rules, and policies.

Exam Proctoring & Security:
- Proctoring candidates during exams to ensure adherence to Pearson VUE security protocols.
- Verifying candidate identity via valid personal identification documents (e.g., passport, driver’s licence).
- Troubleshooting technical issues in collaboration with IT support teams.

Environmental Maintenance:
- Conducting floor vacuuming and sanitising computer workstations/keyboards as required.
- Escorting candidates to exam rooms while monitoring for disruptive behaviour.

Admin Support:
- Assisting with candidate queries or escalations internally or with external parties.
- Maintaining attention to fine details, including identifying unusual activities.

Core Competencies
✅ Professionalism & Customer Service: Warm, empathetic disposition with a customer-first mindset. ✅ Attention to Detail: Quick observation of body language, conduct, and environmental cues for security risks. ✅ Technical Literacy: Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) is an asset. ✅ Adaptability: Willingness to work unconventional hours, including weekends and early mornings. ✅ Qualifications:
- GCSE grade C (Grade 4) or equivalent in English and Maths desired.
