Your Opportunity
We’re searching for a flexible, detail-oriented Test Centre Administrator to join our team in Birmingham. You’ll be responsible for:
- Minimum weekly hours: 8.5
- Hourly wage: £13.60, paid monthly
- Location: On-site, at Pearson VUE Test Centre Birmingham
- Schedule: Monday–Sunday, including early-morning, late-night, and weekend shifts

- Customer service: Warmly welcome, check-in, and assist candidates throughout their exam experience.
- Security & compliance: Strictly adhere to testing protocols, verify ID documents, and enforce exam rules with professionalism.
- Proctoring: Monitor candidates during exams, ensuring test integrity and a secure exam environment.
- Technical support: Troubleshoot IT-related issues in the Test Centre (e.g., software glitches).
- Facility maintenance: Perform basic housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning keyboards, desks, and vacuuming floors.
- Communication: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IT, operations) to resolve issues promptly.
This role requires flexibility—shift availability is essential, from weekdays to weekends.
Requirements for the Role
Essential qualifications and traits:
- Strong interpersonal skills: You must be friendly, professional, and a great team-player—candidates should leave feeling supported.
- Attention to detail: Monitoring behaviour and noticing subtle details are critical for exam integrity.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a range of shifts (including weekends and evenings).
- Physical capabilities: Ability to sit for extended periods and escort candidates safely within the Test Centre.
- Matriculation: School qualifications in English and Maths.
Advantageous experience:
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Any previous customer service, administrative, or proctoring experience in a professional setting.
