Roles Overview
We are looking for a Test and Commissioning Technician to support the commissioning and final test of our track test products. The track test electric vehicle products used in the development of driver assistance systems and automated driving. Working as part of a small team under the operations umbrella, you will:
- Commission and test all aspects of the products.
- Diagnose performance or out-of-spec issues.
- Provide customer support to resolve challenges and close out problems.
The role involves taking products to our test track to perform specific commissioning tests, ensuring they meet specifications and meet customer requirements. This role requires handling large products, including lifting, moving them on a trolle, and loading/unloading trailers. Physical fitness is essential.

Core Responsibilities
- Electrical and mechanical commissioning of new builds, spares, and warranty components.
- Fault finding and servicing of existing products.
- Assessing and testing components such as motors, braking, and suspension systems.
- Hardware installation and software programming and testing.
- Performing track testing of platforms.
- Full system clean-up and maintenance.
- Documenting and capturing all test results for future reference.
- Preparing finished products for shipping and final sign-off.
What Are We Looking For?
Essential
- Electrical or mechanical technical qualification, NVQ 3, or a technical degree.
- Experience in automotive electronics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
- IPC certification (optional but preferred).
Person Specification
- Capable of managing and prioritising multiple demands.
- Adept at working under deadlines and as part of a collaborative team.
- Critical thinking skills with strong understanding of engineering principles.
- High attention to detail, ensuring precise and meticulous documentation, paperwork, and record-keeping.
- Quality-first approach, committed to excellence in all outputs.
- Flexible work schedule and ability to adapt to evolving priorities.
