Test Development Engineer
Test Development Engineer - High-Voltage Automated Test Systems | London
£60,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits | Permanent
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Test Development Engineer to design and develop automated high-voltage production test systems for advanced electronic and electromechanical products.
This hands-on role combines hardware and software development, supporting products from development through to manufacture. Working closely with Design, Manufacturing, and NPI teams, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and scalable production test solutions. Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar automated test platforms is welcomed.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop automated high-voltage test benches and production test equipment.
- Develop test software using LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar platforms.
- Design test hardware, fixtures, instrumentation, and safety interlocks.
- Support NPI, commissioning, and production test improvements.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Produce technical documentation and validation reports.

About You
You'll have experience in most of the following:
- Developing automated test equipment (ATE) or production test systems.
- Designing high-voltage or power electronics test benches.
- LabVIEW or similar engineering test software.
- Electronic test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition.
- Hardware/software integration and fault finding.
A degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is desirable, but equivalent industry experience is equally valued.
