Test Engineer
📍 West Drayton
💰 £35,000 - £40,000
We're working with a leading electronics company in West Drayton to find an experienced Test Engineer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in analogue and digital electronics who's ready to take ownership of test processes on complex hardware.
🔧 The Role
You'll be responsible for testing electronic assemblies and systems, working closely with design and production teams to ensure products meet performance and quality standards.
✅ Responsibilities
- Carry out functional, environmental, and performance testing on electronic assemblies
- Interpret schematics and PCB layouts to support fault-finding and diagnostics
- Develop and maintain test procedures and documentation
- Work closely with design engineers to resolve test failures and support product improvements
- Support production with test equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Record and report test results, identifying trends and recurring issues

🎯 What We're Looking For
- 3+ years' experience in a Test Engineer role
- Solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and PCB layouts
- Confident using standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills

⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE)
- Familiarity with RF testing
- Knowledge of IPC standards
- Experience in a regulated or high-reliability industry
