Test Engineer – Twyver
Location: Gloucester (with travel to UK sites as required)
Employment Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Job Summary
Twyver is seeking a Test Engineer to support test planning, test execution, and quality assurance activities across engineering projects. The role involves testing LV switchgear and control panels, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional testing, system testing, and integration testing for LV switchgear and control panels.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose test failures; identify root causes and support corrective actions.
- Conduct routine and non-routine inspections, reviews, and verifications of products and installations.
- Record and document test results, non-conformances, deviations, and observations accurately.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, production, and project delivery teams to meet project timelines.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and provide technical input when required.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep up to date with industry standards, testing methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills And Experience
- Experience in testing or commissioning within LV switchgear, electrical engineering, control systems, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and relevant standards (e.g., BS EN 61439, BS7671).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- High level of attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach to testing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with IT systems and common office/testing software tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence.

Preferred Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines (City & Guilds, HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
- Experience in a similar test or commissioning engineer role within engineering or manufacturing.
- Additional training or certifications in testing, safety, or quality assurance.
