Test Engineer – Electrical - Luton, Bedfordshire

The Test Engineer, reporting to the Test Manager, is responsible for conducting acceptance testing and reporting on electrical units in accordance with quality procedures and engineering requirements at the production site in Luton.

This role requires close collaboration with the Electrical, Hydraulic, Quality, and Production teams to ensure that test plans, quality standards, and safety requirements are fully met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform acceptance testing on large-scale induction motors, up to 13.8kV and 3.2MW.
  • Accurately monitor, record, and report test data in alignment with defined test plans and engineering standards.
  • Ensure that test reports are completed and logged within engineering systems within 24 hours of test completion.
  • Investigate and support the development of test data acquisition and control systems.

  • Qualification at Level 4/5 (NQF) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • High voltage awareness and experience working with high voltage equipment.
  • Experience with large-scale test setups and power systems.
  • Proficiency with data acquisition systems and adherence to test procedures and quality plans.
