Test Automation Engineer

London: Hybrid Working

SC Clearance Required

Salary: GBP 65,000 - GBP 75,000

We are currently partnering with a highly respected technology consultancy delivering secure software and engineering services for some of the UK's most complex government and defence programmes.

The organisation specialises in developing mission-critical data within highly secure environments, working on projects that support national security, intelligence and defence customers. Their engineering teams operate using modern Agile and DevSecOps practices, delivering secure, resilient software solutions and services using the latest technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Test Automation Engineer who enjoys working on technically challenging projects and is passionate about improving software quality through automation. In this role, you will design, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks while working closely with a variety of engineers and stakeholders across the software development lifecycle. You will have experience working in security, intelligence or defence environments and be eligible for SC Clearance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
