CBRE GlobalWorkplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities andcorporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a Test &Inspection Electrician, based at our Sidcup site.
As a CBRE Test& Inspection Electrician, you will inspect, test, repair, and maintainelectrical and mechanical equipment in assigned facilities.
This job is partof the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsiblefor providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment andsystems.
What You’ll Do
- Overseeelectrical and lighting systems' general operation, inspection, testing,repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
- Check, repair,and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. Thisincludes motors, controls, switches, gauges, valves, wiring, fans, pumps,compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Assure thatequipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
- Review historicalmaintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventivemaintenance schedules.
- Provide efficientand reliable service to customers. Apply general knowledge of standardprinciples and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solveroutine problems.
- Have a broadknowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplineswithin the function.
- Lead by exampleand model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact thequality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work primarilywithin standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meetdeadlines.
- Explain complexinformation to others in straightforward situations.

Qualifications& Attributes
- Electrical Test& Inspection (C&G 2391)
- Performelectrical test and inspection duties in accordance with City & Guilds 2391standards.
- Conduct periodicinspection, testing, and certification of electrical installations.
- Ensure compliancewith BS 7671 and regulatory requirements.
- Produce accuratetest reports and identify remedial actions where required
- High SchoolDiploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience.Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
- MasterElectrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. ValidDriver's license required.
- Meet the physicalrequirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbingstairs/ladders.
- In-depthknowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.
- Understanding ofexisting procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability toanalyse possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriatejudgment and precedents.
- Strongorganizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced mathskills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediatefigures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
