Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Test Lead to own the end-to-end quality assurance function across the ServiceNow Transformation Programme. The Test Lead is accountable for test strategy, defect governance, and release confidence across all four delivery cohorts from unit testing in DEV through to Operational Readiness Testing and go-live sign-off. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical depth and the ability to coordinate testing across multiple workstreams running in parallel.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the test strategy and test plan across all cohorts and workstreams covering WP1B platform governance, WP2 TSM, WP3 TSOM, WP4 CSM, WP6 CMDB/CSDM, WP7 data migration, WP8 SecOps, WP9 IRM, WP5 EHS, and all northbound and southbound integrations
- Design, build, and maintain ATF (Automated Test Framework) test suites covering happy-path, negative, regression, and edge-case scenarios across all modules
- Plan and execute SIT, coordinating cross-workstream end-to-end flows including TSOM TSM auto-incident creation, CMDB service impact analysis, CSM outage notification flows, and integration health monitoring
- Manage the defect log throughout the programme, triage all defects by severity, drive resolution by the delivery team, and report status to the Programme Team and Design Authority
- Confirm zero P1 defects at each UAT and ORT exit gate before recommending Technical Go-Live authorisation to the Programme Manager
- Support client UAT teams producing test scripts, briefing business testers per workstream, and providing defect resolution support during UAT execution
- Plan and oversee migration testing across all three Precision Bridge waves validating source-to-target reconciliation within the 0.5% tolerance, referential integrity, and in-flight record continuity for open incidents, cases, and SLA timers
- Execute the Instance Health Scan on every TEST PROD promotion and confirm zero critical findings before each go-live
- Produce all test evidence deliverables required for Milestone Certificate submission

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
