Job Title: Data Test Lead

Location: Leeds, UK

Job Type: Fixed Term Contractor

Experience: 10+ yrs

We at Coforge are hiring for a Data Test Lead with the following skills


Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Governance

  • Own the Test Data Strategy, Roadmap and Operating Model.
  • Define and maintain Test Data standards, governance, and service processes.
  • Ensure alignment with QE Strategy, Engineering Standards and Enterprise Data Strategy.
  • Manage Test Data risks, dependencies, issues, and performance reporting.

Test Data Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of masked, migrated, and synthetic test data solutions.
  • Drive reuse of automation and provisioning capabilities across Build and E2E teams.
  • Provide oversight of Test Data tooling and services, including K2View.
  • Manage demand, prioritization, capacity planning, and service performance.

Compliance & Control

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and maintain controls for data masking, synthetic data generation and production-derived data usage.
  • Support audit, assurance, and evidential requirements.

Environment & Data Readiness

  • Work with Environment Management teams to ensure environments have the required test data available when needed.
  • Coordinate data refreshes, provisioning schedules, and environment-data dependencies.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with suppliers, partners, and tooling providers.
  • Collaborate with Build QE, E2E QE, Product, Platform and Data teams to align priorities and delivery plans.
  • Provide clear reporting and recommendations to programme leadership.

Leadership

  • Lead and develop the QE Test Data Team.
  • Set priorities, build capability, and support succession planning.
  • Promote continuous improvement, service excellence, and automation.

  • Increased adoption of automated and reusable test data solutions.

  • Continuous improvement in team capability and operational efficiency.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Test Data Management leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of data masking, synthetic data and test data provisioning.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, governance, and regulatory controls.
  • Experience managing suppliers and third-party delivery partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within large transformation programmes.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.

Desirable

  • K2View experience.
  • Financial services experience.
  • Knowledge of FCA, DORA and GDPR requirements.
