The Role: UST Test Manager
UST is seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead a team of ~10 QA professionals (Manual & Automation), supporting two Agile Scrum teams. This role requires technical leadership, strategic QA initiatives, oversight of testing activities, and strong client engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a Manual and Automation Test Engineers team.
- Ensure testing activities align with Agile Scrum principles and deliver high-quality outputs within sprint timelines.

QA Strategy and Execution
- Define, execute, and monitor test strategies, test plans, test schedules, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align testing efforts with project goals.

Technical Expertise
- Provide guidance on automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and testing best practices.
- Oversee Non-Functional Testing (NFRs), including Performance, Security, Scalability, Reliability, and Accessibility Testing.

Defect and Quality Governance
- Own and facilitate defect triage meetings, ensuring prioritization, root cause analysis, tracking, and timely resolution.
- Analyze defect trends and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams through the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Manage client expectations and third-party vendor relationships.

Requirements & Qualifications
Core Competencies
✔ 10–15 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance. ✔ Proven experience leading Manual and Automation Testing teams. ✔ Strong background in Agile/Scrum environments, multi-team collaboration, and lean processes. ✔ Hands-on experience with defect management, triage, and quality governance. ✔ Leadership with hands-on expertise—able to transition between oversight and testing both effectively and efficiently. ✔ Exceptional client-facing, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Technical Skills
✔ Proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar project management tools. ✔ Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools. ✔ Strong understanding of:
- Functional Testing (smoke, integration, regression).
- Non-Functional Testing (Performance, Security, Scalability, Reliability, Accessibility).
- Quality metrics and KPI tracking. ✔ Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. ✔ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Nice to Have
🔹 Experience in web application migration projects. 🔹 Knowledge of Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) or similar enterprise automation platforms. 🔹 Certifications such as ISTQB, Scrum, SAFe, or PMP are beneficial.
