Test Manager
Up to £65,000 | Hybrid (Greater London Area)
Overview
We are partnering with a university who are seeking a Test Manager to build & lead its testing function from scratch, across a wide range of digital and technology initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation who are at early stage of modernising their Data Platforms & integrations services. They are looking into creating a whole testing function to carry out manual and automated testing. This is a role for people who are able to deal with ambiguity at the start, devise robust strategies and influence how testing is conducted.
You'll be responsible for defining testing strategy, managing a team of Test Analysts, and ensuring new systems, integrations and enhancements are thoroughly tested before deployment. The IT Services department is comprised of excellent, talented individuals driven by a mission of improving staff & student experience. You’ll be working closely with project teams, technical specialists and stakeholders to champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
