Hybrid working - This Police Staff role adheres to Corporation of London’s hybrid working policy, which requires a 60% office attendance rate. The specifics of this will be discussed locally with your hiring manager if you’re successful for the role.

About The Team
Report Fraud Enabling Services are made up of various teams responsible for the underpinning technology of Report Fraud. We provide support to ensure the health of the service commercially and technically, along with developing a Continuous Improvement roadmap, ensuring new technologies and our ways of working keep the service up-to-date from technology service KPIs and compliance perspectives

About The Role
The City of London Police is seeking an experienced Test Manager to take ownership of the test workstream including supplier test assurance.
The role sits within Report Fraud Enabling Services and will lead a small team to manage all test activity ensuring the quality of deliverables.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be:
- Working as a senior member of the Enabling Services team, taking responsibility for all levels of test and test assurance ensuring delivery of a high-quality output in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for client-side User Acceptance Testing (UAT), by working across teams to understand business scenarios, planning of all testing surrounding these, through to execution and reporting.
- Leading test assurance activities to ensure the supplier side delivery remains on track and is of high quality.
- Leading and support new suppliers in the integration, testing, go live and operation period of the new service.
- Supporting continuous improvement discussions throughout the delivery and take responsibility for the implementation of these.
Requirements
Your application will be scored against the criteria listed below for shortlisting. Please give examples and evidence your ability, knowledge and experience against the points below in your application.
- Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of all test levels including functional and non-functional. e.g., NFRs, OAT, Performance etc.
- The ability to clearly define and articulate test strategies, test plans and the reporting of these to key team members at all levels.
- Understanding of test assurance and how it is applied.
- Demonstrate the effective management and resolution of defects, risk assessments, issue escalations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work positively across a range of individuals and groups involved in the project/s. Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
This vacancy is open only to those who have the right to work in the UK. Also, due to this role requiring MV/SC level vetting, you need to have continuously resided in the UK for the last 5 years. This residency needs to be in the immediate 5 years prior to this application. If you do not meet this requirement, you are not eligible to apply for the role, due to nature of the vetting checks needed.
